Been living out in NorCal for the past year after spending my whole life in NY with the last 10 years residing in NYC. And now I find myself back in NY and as much as I missed NY being out in NorCal, I miss NorCal now being in NY. I dont plan on staying in the area for long though as my current job search is making settling down very difficult.

Hey, well I'm out of college. I had a friend who said this was a good way for a busy guy like me to meet new people. A couple things I think is cool about me is that I've been playing piano since I was about 5, and used to be a sponsored snowboarder. I get out every once in a while, but since I've been living on my own, I've become pretty used to being alright with just hanging at home either cooking, watching tv, painting, or spending time w/ my cat.

Oh my cat btw is named Toby. Awesome kitten. He gets super lonely though when I'm out for 24hrs+ and takes his revenge out on basically whatever he can get into in my apartment.. Hi, my name is Vernon. I'm A visual artist In Mid- Hudson NY, I'm A BFA Printmaking major. I view the world from the lens of a grafitti writer,so walls make my imagination go wild. I love drrawing the human figure, especially the female form.I like a challenge so I've chosen to do the majority of my new work on wooden panels of varying shape and size on a wood panel, i love working with the grain and texture thats absent in most other materials. I love black, I would even say it was my favorite color if color theory didn't show me i was wrong, so it's my favorite value. I love music and poetry also, and i dabble in them from time to time. I have dreds and I love them, they make me very happy and keep me warm all year long when combined with my dark clothes. The daytime hours seem to be a waste, but i love being out at night, walking, drawing, carving, just letting the night envelop my senses. I've been known to stay up all night and sleep at dawn.

I go to a college that I love full time. My major is English with certification in Early Childhood and Special Ed. I'm beginning to think of minoring in Italian as well so I can possibly do a study abroad program my senior year. Children are my forté. They always have been whether it be teaching them to swim at my old job, working in my high-schools daycare center or just babysitting, there is always that energetic air about them.

I wouldn't say that I am an overly sports-orientated person;however, I do love a really good competition. I love lacrosse and play pretty much year round. I've played throughout my high school career into college where I'm the starting goalie my freshman year. It's my second form of stress relief next to reading. I love being able to focus on nothing but the game going on in front of me instead of all the other extra happenings in my world.

This being said, I am a very health conscientious person. I work out five or more times a week. I eat healthy and love to cook everything myself.

My biggest pet-peeve is smoking and I can't stand when people do it. Like I said, I am health conscientious. I used to smoke until I realized it was a sign of weakness. Anything that requires you to drop what you are doing to have one little cigarette is a sign of poor character. I also watched two very close family members struggle and loose the battle to lung cancer. One was the smoker, the second was not, they just happened to be married and live in the same house for 30 years. I refuse to fall victim to that kind of life style.

My second is rudeness. I cannot stand when people are mean to others for no reason. I understand the occasional sarcastic joke between friends but when people are rude, mean, and hurtful to others maliciously, that is where I draw the line. I am the type of person who hates to see anyone put down and I will stand up for the under dog through and through.

I don't believe in the idea of jumping into a relationship. I feel like there has to be trust first. There have been too many instances in my past where I was hurt because on a whim I ran headfirst into a relationship that crashed quickly. I guess this is why I've decided to try and use the internet. To meet someone out there that has similar interests and ideas in common.

I am a very moral person. I believe in being 100% honest and hate liars and cheaters. I try and do everything I can to be with the person I am with and make them happy. I am very sincere in everything I say or do (that isn't sarcasm of course). I love to make people laugh and have people smiling when they are around me. I try my hardest to make everyone I am around happy and content.

Like me or not - one thing is for sure, you've probably never met anyone like me. I can be cocky but it doesn't mean I don't appreciate things that life has to offer. I can make one joke after another but that doesn't mean I can't delve into serious, meaningful topics. I love to have fun but...well there's actually no opposite of that for me so if you are someone who isn't true to themselves, someone who is way too negative, someone who has no conversational skills or someone who has backward values then we probably won't get along.

I like life to be interesting so meeting new people and trying new things is almost always on my to-do list. It's all about the experience.

I love being outdoors and being active rock climbing or biking but I also enjoy being indoors cooking, reading a book, playing video games, writing or watching tv. I am in love with playing, writing, thinking about and talking about music.

I LOVE pretty much anything Disney. And in '07 I moved to FL for 6 months to work at Disney World on the Disney Careerstart Program. I did merchandise at Disney's MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) at the gift shops for Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster, and outside vending for the night show Fantasmic. I had an amazing time there and made some of the best friends I could ask for. I miss it like crazy.
