Sports (NHL, NBA, MLB) are obscured and you can't see the game, but if you can't see it around you (e.g. in New York City), professional and college sports teams are also subject to blackout restrictions. Anyone who tries to stream a game outside the local viewing area will be blackout-affected, even if they are within range. Teams cannot then determine who is watching the sport or the team they want, which means they can be watched, and if they are not, they are not subject to the restriction of suspension. Sports like the NHL and NBA and the MLB can also be "played black" when the games are running, i.e. they are running in other parts of their region.
